This 4-day adventure safari in Uganda is for those interested in seeing the rare mountain gorillas and other wildlife but with limited time for safari.
It has so much to see and enjoy especially the once in a lifetime experience, the mountain gorilla encounter in the natural habitat (Bwindi Impenetrable national park), boat cruise and game drive at Lake Mburo National Park.
Day 1, Drive to Bwindi impenetrable rain forest Park
Your driver guide will Pick you up from Airport or hotel following your breakfast, after a briefing be transferred South Western Uganda to Bwindi National Park. En route, have a stopover at the Equator to photography. Proceed to Mbarara town for a lunch. After lunch continue with the journey to Bwindi and will take you through the rolling green hills and highlands of Uganda. Reach Bwindi Impenetrable Forest late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Community lodge/silverback lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp/Nkuringo Gorilla Camp/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp
Day 2, Gorilla Trekking Adventure in tropical rain forest
Today get up early for hearty breakfast 6:00hrs and then transfer to Ranger station for a briefing and in preparation for the gorilla trekking adventure also the highlight of the trip. After this, you will be accompanied by armed ranger guide into the forest to search for the Mountain Gorillas. You will pass through thick forest vegetation, slashing at the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to trek gorillas. The time taken while tracking mountain Gorillas is unpredictable since it depends on gorilla movements in search for daily food and shelter.
However, it can take between 30m to 8 hours. When you finally meet these peaceful gentle giants, you will have one hour with them and this will enable you to sit down and watch them as they interact with each other, communicate and you are also free to take photographs. Return back to your lodge for relaxation. If you have the energy, take a Batwa community walk in the evening and after return to the lodge for overnight stay at Buhoma Community Bandas/Gorilla Resort/Gorilla Mist Camp/Nkuringo Gorilla Camp/Wagtail Eco Safari Camp
Day 3, Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Following breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The scenic route will take you through the Kigezi region which is known as the Switzerland of Africa because of its topography full of hills and highlands as well as winding roads. You will have lunch en route in Mbarara town and then later enter the Park through the Sanga gate. Upon arriving in the Park you will go for the boat ride on Lake Mburo. Look out for animals like Hippos, crocodiles and so on. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge/Mantana Luxury tented Camp/Arcadia Cottages
Day 4: Game drive and Transfer to Kampala
With two alternatives this morning, either choose between Nature walk in the park or a game drive following park tracks in search for a variety of game including Buffaloes, beautiful Giraffes, Eland, Impalas, warthogs, water bunks, Statungas, Bushbuck among many mammal species. Later, transfer the Equator line for lunch and Photography then continue to Kampala arriving late in the evening to connect to Entebbe for your departure flight.
